Keffi Wambai – The ERCC LCC Aridi Central was a hub of spiritual fervor and communal generosity earlier today as it hosted the 2025 Annual Convention and Fundraising for the ongoing ERCC Secretariat Complex. The event was graced by the presence and leadership of Hon. Barr. Esson Mairiga Esson, the Member representing Lafia North at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA), who served as the Chief Fundraiser and Launcher.

The convention seamlessly blended divine inspiration with a call to civic duty, creating a powerful and impactful gathering.

A Sermon on Skillful and Generous Giving

Setting a profound tone for the day, the Very Rev. Peter Yarima Aya delivered a stirring sermon drawn from Exodus 36:2-6. Speaking on the theme “A Willing Wise Heart,” Reverend Aya illuminated the Biblical blueprint for supporting God’s work. He emphasized that true contribution goes beyond mere generosity, encompassing skillful and heartfelt giving—a message that perfectly framed the day's fundraising objective.

Hon. Esson’s Dual Charge: Ambassadorship and Civic Duty

As the Chief Launcher, Hon. Esson Mairiga issued a powerful charge to Christians, urging them to be upstanding ambassadors for Christ in all spheres of life. He underscored the importance of steadfastly supporting church and community leaders through focused encouragement and persistent prayer.

Bridging the gap between faith and civic responsibility, Hon. Esson’s second message was a call to action for national participation. He passionately encouraged every eligible individual to take part in the ongoing voter registration exercise, highlighting the importance of exercising one's democratic rights as a fundamental duty.

Amist tears, sympathisers and the Honourable member representing Lafia North Constituency at NSHA and Chairman House Standing Committee on Judiciary, ethics and privilege Hon.Barr Mairiga Esson and his wife were at ERCC Graceland Lafia, to paid last respect for Late Dr. Rowland, whose buried service was conducted for. The Honourable member prays for God to continue to comfort the church of God, his wife, children, aged father, extended family, and friends. He further prayed for the repost of his soul and that of the faithful department with God, AMEN. It will be recalled that Late Dr. Rowland was kidnapped on Wednesday, 16th October 2024, and killed. May God judge those behind this evil act. Before his untimely death, late Dr. Rowland Ayuba akuziji was the MD. RUWASSA Nasarawa State.
